The podcast Techtopia #15 is out.

This time in the form of a prelude to this year’s startup festival TechBBQ, where a wide range of tech entrepreneurs will pitch their companies in the hopes of getting their hands on the skilled workforce that the Danish tech industry is currently competing for.

This will happen under the heading Tech Talent, and Techtopia has kicked off the fun by inviting three startups to pitch and talk about themselves.

KiteX uses drones to create levitating wind turbines. Norlase produces lasers for surgeries. Botsupply produces chatbots, AI solutions and offers a whole new business model for IA researchers.

You can also hear more about the people behind the new Techfestival, which expects to gather 15,000 people in the Copenhagen’s meatpacking district in the first week of September.

Participants:
Tina Ryoon Andersen, project developer for start-ups, Danish Society of Engineers IDA
Andreas Okholm, engineer and co-founder of KiteX
Oliver Hvidt, COO Norlase
Marie Louise Gørvild, head of curation, Techfestival
Thomas Madsen-Mygdal, founder, Techfestival
Giovanni Toschi, co-founder, Botsupply
Kumar Shridhar, Chief AI Scientist, Botsupply
