The U.S. is one of the largest markets in the world, and the American market for cleantech solutions is developing fast. As sustainable economic growth and security of energy and water supply have become some of the greatest global challenges, consumers and companies now demand cutting-edge environmental technologies, products and services. Federal and state level governments are responding by investing in the green agenda.

The development presents a great opportunity for Danish companies that excel at renewable industries, and Americans are becoming increasingly aware of the Danish green solutions and heritage in the field.

To discuss the opportunities, and the challenges of the U.S. market, we have invited market and sector experts from both Denmark and the U.S., and we are happy to invite you to an afternoon meeting at Rambøll’s headquarters. Rambøll has operated on the US market for many years, and has much experience from the market. Read a U.S. case story here.

What solutions are the Americans looking for?

The American offshore and onshore wind market is especially of great potential to the Danish companies. The wind industry is growing, and is becoming an important part of the economy, and the fastest growing profession in the U.S. is wind technician.

The water industry is receiving increased attention due to the draught in California and scarcity of water in other U.S. states. Furthermore, the American industry is fac-ing many challenges with among others a poor water quality.

Finally, sustainable energy is an increasingly interesting field, and especially Northern American universities, military bases and cities are looking towards district heating and cooling as an energy resource.

These are areas, where Danish companies have extensive experience and solutions that lead in their industry.
