Since 2014, Urban Future Lab, New York's premier Cleantech incubator, has been home to Danish Cleantech Hub

Recently, however, partners have been requesting a flexible office hotel facility for companies that are in the process of ramping up their New York presence.  With the new office facilities at Grand Central Tech, Danish Cleantech Hub can now offer just that. Grand Central Tech is a newly opened Cleantech / smart city hub subsidized by New York City, providing entrepreneurs and SMEs with 50,000 square feet of affordable spaces to grow their companies and build the next great smart cities innovations.

Grand Central Hub is a new member of the Urban Tech family, a strategy aiming at making New York City an East Coast Cleantech powerhouse, equaling the Bay Area’s attraction. Connected to Grand Central Station and public transportation via underground passages, Grand Central Tech is conveniently located in the heart of Manhattan, ideal for client meetings.

Rapid transition

Partners of Danish Cleantech Hub joining Grand Central Tech will have access to a network of sponsors, strategic advisors, partners and mentors that make up the Grand Central Tech community.

“Allowing our partners to make use of New York City’s primary cleantech communities is part of our rapid transition, and I am excited to see how our partners can benefit from this,” says Danish Cleantech Hub’s General Manager, Andreas Brunsgaard.

Danish Energy Management & Esbensen, an energy consultancy company providing worldwide services for more than 30 years, is the first of our partners to enter the new office hotel platform.

”The Grand Central Tech setup arranged by Danish Cleantech Hub provides a flexible stepping stone for us as part of our New York entry strategy,” says Jorn Lykou, CEO of Danish Energy Management & Esbensen.
