New Network for Airport Development Projects

Join our new network for airport development projects – we cater to the aviation business.

Beijing Daxing International Airport will be the world's largest international airport upon completion, as well as the busiest in terms of passenger traffic at full capacity

Cheaper fares and a strong economy led the air passenger numbers to exceed 4 billion in 2017, and this number is forecasted to grow by 5.6 pct. to 4.3 billion in 2018. Furthermore, the large demand for fares has created more flight connections to new and existing destinations.

To put this in perspective, in 1996 the average citizen flew once every 50 months. In 2018, the average passenger will fly once every 21 months. Air travel is growing strongly and there is no outlook for a slow-down, with a growing rate of 7.5 pct. in Revenue Passenger Kilometers in 2017 and a further above-trend expansion of 6 pct. in 2018.

This increase in passengers has led many international airports to expand and invest millions of dollars into these development projects, including airports such as London City Airport and Dubai International Airport, which has budget of 7.8 billion dollars.

Due to these expansion projects combined with the Danish strong competences in delivering technology and solutions for airports, Confederation of Danish Industry is presenting a new network – The Network for Airport Development Projects. This network will focus on the Danish expertise within airport solutions and thereby go beyond a single sector.
