The business visit presents itself a unique marketing opportunity to showcase Danish technologies and key competences within a selected number of sectors where Denmark is recognized as a frontrunner of technological innovation and a market leader. It is also a unique opportunity for Danish companies to explore Kenyan market potential and to connect with potential customers, partners, authorities and decisions makers. A series of business activities will be arranged during the visit including sector specific seminars, one-to-one meetings, business lunches and site visits.

Energy sector
The energy sector is currently undergoing major reforms that include; diversifying to avoid over-reliance in hydro-electric power; emerging alternative sources of power are wind, solar, geothermal, thermal, biodiesel, biomass and nuclear. Increasing power generation from present levels of 1300MW to over 6000MW by 201 and extensive rural electrification. Targeted access rate for the rural population is 40% by 2020.
Food and Agribusiness
The variety of climatic conditions allows the country to produce a wide variety of agricultural goods, including grains, sugarcane, coffee, tea and dairy products. Agriculture accounts for 24% of GDP and contributes 19% of formal wage employment
Health Sector
Kenya has the largest health sector in East Africa with a free pricing environment in the private sector. Currently there are no import tariffs on pharmaceuticals and progress has been made towards establishing the East African Medicines and Food Safety Commission (EAMFSC), which would improve drug registration processes.
