“Who goes to Finland when it’s nothing but darkness and slush?” the annual startup festival SLUSH asks with a sly smile.
In its tenth year, the festival now attracts 20,000 guests for a weeklong event dedicated to startups and tech.
For the third year in a row, SLUSH has partnered with investment firm Atomico in London in order to take the pulse of the European tech startup community.
And for the third year in a row, things are looking better than the previous year. If you look at Europe as a unified whole, the continent can compete with both the US and China. Not everything happens in Silicon Valley in California or Shenzhen and Shanghai in China.
Meet Tom Wehmeier, Atomico, author of the report "The State of European Tech 2017”.
