We provide expertise and practical tools that that can help companies manage the CSR challenges and dilemmas that are inherent to doing business internationally.
CSR tools
Together with the Danish Ministry for Economy and Business DI has developed the CSR Compass. The Compass contains a step-by-step guide to responsible supply-chain management including documents for download, code of conduct-tables, dilemma-cases, and risk assessment and benchmarking tools . The CSR Compass furthermore contains documents for download is you have received a code of conduct from one of your customers.
Furthermore DI has developed the Climate Compass with the Danish Ministry for Economy and Business. The climate compass can help companies calculating their company’s carbon footprint by using a Carbon Calculator. Companies can also find advice on how to prepare a climate strategy and how to reduce emissions and costs.

Networking activities
DI manages several Sustainability Networks, which consists of a number of member companies that meet on a regular basis to exchange experiences on CSR related issues.
DI is also active in various other networks that have CSR on the agenda, including most notably the Global Compact and its Nordic Network (DI is contact point). DI also participates actively in the working groups on anti-corruption under the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and the Business and Industry Advisory Committee to the OECD (BIAC). Finally DI is an active participant at EU level through our engagement in BusinessEurope.
On a regular basis, DI arranges conferences, seminars, workshops and courses on different CSR issues to the benefit of its member companies.
Consulting services
DI has expertise on a large variety of CSR-related issues, and DI’s consultants assist individual member companies in the development of a coherent CSR strategy. CSR strategies are more efficient when they build on the competences of the particular company, and they add more value, if they are developed in accordance with its other business activities.
DI’s department for International Business Development provides consultancy in relation to the actual implementation of CSR activities in emerging markets and developing countries.
