The Confederation of Danish Industry (DI) is the organisation for all competitive enterprises in Denmark operating in the global economy. Who can join?

DI primarily caters for manufacturing, service and knowledge-based enterprises. The enterprise must be registered in Denmark. No foreign branch is comprised by the membership.

DI's 10,000 members include traditional manufacturing enterprises, as well as IT, telecom, trade, energy, service, knowledge and consultancy enterprises. All these enterprises operate in international competition at home and abroad. In total, DI's members employ 800,000 people while approx. half of them are based abroad.

Financial aspects 

The costs of and benefits from DI membership depend on several factors. As regards costs, on the total payroll cost, which determines the membership fee, and on the payroll cost for employees covered by collective agreement, which determines the contribution to the education and pension funds as well as the Industry Maternity Fund (Industriens Barselsfond). Consequently net calculations may vary from year to year.
